Late Goal by Tchouaméni Secures Victory for Madrid against Las Palmas

Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni played a crucial role, coming off the bench to score a late header and secure a 2-1 comeback victory against Las Palmas, propelling his team to the top of LaLiga on Saturday.

Carlo Ancelotti's squad now leads the table with 54 points from 21 games, two points ahead of second-placed Girona. Girona will play their 22nd league game against Celta Vigo on Sunday.

Real Madrid faced challenges in the first half, lacking creativity without their LaLiga top scorer Jude Bellingham, who was suspended due to accumulating his fifth yellow card in the previous weekend's narrow win against bottom side Almería.

Las Palmas, starting the weekend in eighth place, only four points away from European spots, displayed a solid defense that neutralized Real's forwards Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo, who seemed to miss Bellingham's influence in midfield.

Although Real maintained possession, they struggled to create clear chances. In the 53rd minute, Las Palmas surprised them when Javi Muñoz tapped in from close range after a skillful run by Sandro Ramírez on the right, leaving Antonio Rudiger flailing.

Real Madrid's response came in the 65th minute when Vinícius Jr., fueled by Camavinga's brilliant pass, equalized with a tidy finish. Real continued to apply pressure, and the winning goal arrived in the 84th minute when substitute Tchouaméni scored a towering header from a Toni Kroos corner, just three minutes after stepping onto the field.

Ancelotti expressed satisfaction with the motivated bench, stating, "It's great to have a motivated bench that often contributes a lot. It is a tool we have. I look at the bench and I have a lot of good players that give me a variety of options to change a game."
